Description
Throughout its history, there have only been seven master distillers at Jack Daniel’s. The Master Distiller series has released a whiskey in honor of each of their previous master distillers. No. 5 in the series is dedicated to Frank Bobo, who was a distillation master from 1966-1988. He oversaw the rise of Jack Daniel’s from a regional whiskey to an American icon.
The whiskey slowly drips through 10 feet (3 meters) of maple sugar charcoal, giving it its distinctive smoothness. As this whiskey is so light and sweet, it would be ideal to pair it with rich and fatty products such as duck, pork, game meat or grilled meats to allow the sweet taste of the whiskey to shine through.
