Description
Ardmore Traditional Cask is a troubled whiskey that, despite its young age, is complex on the palate and is bottled without going through a prior filtering process.
On the nose it is sweet. We can find caramel, vanilla and honey. We will also find some moisture, like roots. In the mouth, its body is medium and we will find a huge range of flavors, from artichokes and olives to sweet flavors such as honey or vanilla. Of course, there is also some peat and quite a bit of oak, accompanied by some citrus notes (mainly orange).
It has a very long and complex finish, where smoke and salty flavors predominate. The presence of peat is evident, although unlike some Islay malts, it can be very comfortable for those who are not used to it.
